One of my favorite ways to pass time? Popping into local home shops. Omaha is full of gems, way beyond big-box furniture. Shopping local means supporting our community and finding those one-of-a-kind items you won’t see in every other living room. Here are my go-to spots for furniture, seasonal, and home décor.
15Two Home – Gretna
If vintage mid-century modern is your thing, this Gretna favorite is a must-visit. 15Two Home offers curated vintage furniture and goods that feel safe, joyful, beautiful, and purposeful. Every piece has character, and you’ll find gorgeous MCM staples like nightstands, benches, and credenzas that make your space feel unique and collected over time. They also offer delivery — just one more reason to fall in love.
A Little More Like Home – Midtown
If you love authentic mid-century modern design, A Little More Like Home is a dream come true. Elise and Jeff have created something special here — an uncommon vintage shopping experience where every piece feels freshly revived and ready to shine again. Customers rave about the like-new condition of the restored furniture, and if you’re after something a little more custom, they have the skills to make it happen. The shop is only open Saturdays from 1–4 p.m. (because great curation takes time!), but you can always reach out to set up an appointment that fits your schedule.
Dusk Goods & Gifts – Little Bohemia
This Little Bohemia shop is full of joy — literally. Dusk Goods & Gifts is all about colorful, purpose-driven finds for your home and gifting. They proudly stock items from BIPOC, queer-owned, and women-owned brands, and everything feels thoughtfully chosen. It’s the perfect spot to find that fun pop of color or unique object that makes your home feel more you. Come ready to browse — you’ll leave with something unexpected and delightful.
Found Vintage Market – Benson
Found is a dream for vintage lovers. With a spacious 6,000 sq ft sales floor, this Benson spot mixes vintage and new furniture and décor in the best way. It’s one of those places where you could spend hours exploring, and every visit feels different. Think classic pieces with patina, cozy textures, and a dash of nostalgia. If you’re into sustainability and design with history, Found is a must.
Hearts & Fire – Rockbrook
Step inside Hearts & Fire and you’ll immediately feel the warmth behind its name. This Rockbrook gem is run by a mother-daughter duo whose love for family, design, and meaningful connection shines through every detail. The shop blends furniture and home décor from artists, makers, and brands who share their passion for standout style and soulful craftsmanship. From statement pieces that anchor a room to those tiny touches that make you smile every day, everything here is chosen to make your home feel loved and lived in.
ModLines – Leavenworth Street
If you love true mid-century and retro design from the 1950s–70s, ModLines is your vintage playground. They carry authentic, high-quality pieces that are carefully curated and full of personality. Think bold shapes, rich wood tones, and timeless style that works beautifully in modern homes. Whether you’re after a statement credenza or a funky accent chair, this spot delivers the real deal.
On a Whim – The Shops of Legacy
This west Omaha favorite is filled with charming and curated finds for gifting and entertaining. On a Whim is where you’ll find everything from whimsical home accessories and seasonal décor to thoughtful kitchen items and the best greeting cards. It’s the kind of shop that’s just fun to explore — and perfect for hostess gifts, tablescapes, or refreshing your entertaining stash.
Prairie in Bloom Marketplace – Oakview
This west Omaha favorite has a mix of vintage and new farmhouse-inspired décor, seasonal pieces, and cozy home touches. Prairie in Bloom is known for realistic faux florals, locally made soy candles, and warm, welcoming accents that help your space feel like fall — or whatever season you’re stepping into. The whole shop feels like a curated celebration of home, with heirloom vibes and artisan details around every corner.
Spruce Interiors & Gifts – Leavenworth Street
Spruce is a cozy, color-coordinated gem tucked along Leavenworth. The space is filled with stylish accessories, soft goods like pillows and throws, beautiful wall art, frames, and even a selection of furniture and lighting. Whether you’re looking to freshen up your living room or just want a new candle and some cute kitchen towels, this place is a delight.
